The
above discount is also allowed for Companies who want combined Volume Discount
for their telephones in MTNL, Delhi & Mumbai.Initially it is proposed that the combined Graded Volume
Discount shall be given only on telephone lines excluding Dolphin and Leased
Circuits. The Company has to apply
on Standardized Form (Annexure-I) either in Delhi or in Mumbai based on the
number of telephones, to allow the above discount.
The Gross MCU against the telephone numbers of the Company shall be
calculated and sent to the Nodal Authority (GM(TR), MTNL, Delhi or Mumbai as the
case may be).The above information
shall be sent on a quarterly basis with the month-wise break-up of Gross MCUs by
5th of the following month of the quarter.
The nodal units shall total the Gross MCUs of both Delhi & Mumbai, to
work out the percentage that is applicable for each month and convey the
percentage to the other unit. The
Unit will work out the value, based on the percentage for each month on the net
MCU of that month.The value so calculated shall be credited to each of the telephone
numbers.The combined Volume
Discount shall thus be given to Companies on a quarterly basis.
This discount may be allowed from 1.4.04 and made applicable from the
month succeeding the month of application in all cases.
B. Companies may include the Private Telephones of their officers, if the
bills are paid/reimbursed by the Company.
C. Telephone No.'s against which outstanding dues are
pending should not be considered for Graded Volume Discount.
D.
A statement on clubbed volume discount indicating no. of clients
telephones clubbed, amount billed and discount given in the quarter may be
included in the Sub-ledger statements of July, September, December and April.
E.
Presently, volume discount will not be applicable to group/sister
concerns.
