AMNESTY SCHEME FOR BROADBAND CONNECTIONS WHICH ARE DISCONNECTED DUE TO NON PAYMENT
Amnesty Scheme for Broadband connections which have been disconnected due to non payment is to be implemented.
The following procedure shall be followed.:-
1. Average of previous six months download charges excluding the disputed period shall be calculated. Based on this average charge customer will be billed in the Unlimited Plan having monthly fixed charges immediately higher to the average charges calculated above. For example if the average download charge of customer comes to Rs. 1000/-, the subs may be billed in Unlimited plan of Rs. 1299/- (i.e. tariff available during the disputed period for unlimited plan - 512 Kbps, applicable in this case )
2. For new BB connections which have not completed six months, Areas are authorized to decide an appropriate unlimited plan under which disputed bills can be revised based on available usage pattern of the customer.
3. The connections may be activated in the appropriate unlimited plan with the consent of the customer.
4. All the charges related to broadband service for the intervening period (In which the broadband was not working) will be cancelled. For partial period of the month, charges will be calculated on the proportionate basis.
5. No installation & Reconnection charges will be taken for re-starting the ADSL service.
6. For sorting out landline outstanding issues if any, customers may be given 10 % rebate on their landline outstanding bill pending up to 30-06-2009. However in case, the subs is not satisfied with 10% rebate in landline bill, then the rebate case can be considered by MRC unit as per existing guidelines.
This scheme is available for the following –
a- DNP II cases ( DNP jumper cases) done upto 30 -09-2009.
b- All DPMT cases (due to non payment) done after 1-10-2010.
c- Number permanently disconnected on subs request before 30-09-2009 but O/S dues still pending.
The scheme shall be implemented for 3 months w.e.f 15-02-2010 to 15-05-2010
